Old school family Italian restaurant with prices from 1980s. The best deal in the Bay Area. Steaks, prime rib or seafood. The first time I was here I ordered the extra thick prime rib. It was a bit over cooked for my taste so next time I'll choose medium rare rather than medium. This time I chose the ribeye at medium rare and it was perfect. Full course dinners with soup and salad and bread. Great deal! Don't miss it. It's worth the visit. The only negative is no reservation and it's usually an hour to an hour and a half wait on Fridays and Saturdays. But if you're patient it's worth it.

Piper in for my birthday dinner after a colleague recommended this place. 10/10!! It was such a great atmosphere and it was nice to see so many regulars. We arrived at 7:30 and had about an 1.5 hour wait. We were actually seated in 45 min from arriving. The time flew by hanging o it at the bar. It was nice to see there were indoor and outdoor drink options (hosts will come look for you outside). The drinks were perfect! Just the right amount of booze to keep it fun but flavorful. We had a few Tokyo teas and other vodka drinks. For dinner my group ordered 2 extra cut prime ribs, chicken dinner and the ground round. To start dinner we had the delicious minestrone soup with warmest bread, salad with a tasty vinaigrette dressing and salami slice, and then came our meals. Everyone loved their order. The food was so good and our server Julie was friendly and had perfect timing. The house was PACKED but you wouldn't know it by the service. The food was not over seasoned. You can taste the meat and the veggies were very flavorful with a healthy serving of butter. Very glad that I picked this local spot to enjoy a great quality meal. Looking forward to coming back more often. The quality and value make this a must for everyone. Don't forget place is cash only, but the value is certainly passed on. I hope they stay open for another 100 years!

First time there and DEFINITELY won't be the last. Food was remiscent of an old school steakhouse. Super large portions with family style soup and salad included. Family atmosphere-you will make friends here! Kellie our AWESOME Server (we love you!!!!) gave us great attention despite it being a packed house and had great comebacks to our banter. Drinks are inexpensive and as strong as you like.

PSA: cash only. ATM located inside as well. Antioch's best kept secret. Can't make it out to HOPR? Mac's Old House will do. Open from 4pm-10pm daily, usually with a line at the door on the weekends. Parking is available but limited if the house is packed. We ordered the extra cut end piece, medium. You start with their minestrone soup in the metal bowl with their hot bread and butter. Next up is their house salad then your protein of choice. Dinner for two came out to $50. I love the rustic ambience and small town charm of this place. The bar is an excellent option as well.

Food was delicious and plenty for the value! Menu is simple and delicious. Server was very nice, busy and attentive. Thank you. Very rustic inside, and hot, get ready to snuggle a little with your neighbors. We did have a wheel chair guest in our party and although it was tight, we managed. Overall, great food for something simple.
